Today's Middleton & North Manchester Guardian features INTO THE STORM on page 14 (the Blackley Guardian page)!!

I guessed it was coming - the reporter and photographer at my house gave it away slightly!!!

Most of the story is quoted text from me, but there are one or two wild inaccuracies thrown in!!

The photo is of me sat in my mum's house by a computer with a screenshot of Into The Storm on the screen and me holding the Storm programme in one hand (I objected but couldn't find anything else Stormy to hold!) and pretending to click with the mouse with the other hand. It is also an extremely horrendous photo I now realise!!

Amazingly it is the lead story on the page! Obviously not much happened this week! Next to me is a story (obviously planted on purpose) waffling on about some headmaster moaning about how he lives in Lancashire not Greater Manchester (my pet hate subject!)

The caption under the photo says: A stormer...that's Simon, pictured here working on the Storm web site

Ooops, hope Ogdens don't get upset! Thankfully it does mention in the actual entitled "Going Down A Storm" (not sure of the significance of that headline!!) that I am the "...creator of the ice hockey team's unofficial web site page."

There are many quotes that I'm sure I never said!

It says my job is an Internet programmer - that's wrong!

It also says: "...used to pen the fan's perspective page in the Storm programme." I never said that!!!

Apparantly the pages include a picture gallery featuring stats and figures of all the Storm players and a sound effects page full of slapshots and bone-jarring crunches.

WHAT??? I DEFINTELY never said any of that!!

They managed to get the address wrong (I said make sure it is in lowercase but they split it onto two lines even though there was loads of room so it's got an extra hyphen in.

I think I've been too critical though as the bloke who wrote it all didn't really know anything about the Internet I guess.

It was quite good to see it in the paper anyway!!
