Received a message from Paolo Ianieri, EHL Media
and Communication Manager, about the criteria for
qualification of the two best 2nd placed teams.
Our game against Bolzano will have no bearing on the
points that we have in the race for the best two runners-up
slots. Mr.Ianieri confirmed that ALL points gained against
last placed teams will be disregarded. Therefore our points
total for the second place 'league table' will be seven as it
is at present.
We need to beat Bolzano to confirm our second place but these
points would not mean anything towards final qualification.
Unfortunately we will need to wait until all the other divisions
have finished their games to see whether we have actually qualified.
A lot of the groups are quite close and a lot is still in the balance.
