I agree absolutely that players should be made more accountable for their actions, malicious or reckless. As there are already opportunities for unscrupulous coaches to indulge in gamesmanship why create more? Lets have a tough disciplinary code, have a disciplinary hearing, look at the video evidence, take depositions from all parties concerned then impose a ban. But if the system is to have credability, which and how many games the guilty party should be banned for must be the decision of the disciplinary committee, and mustn't be under the influence of individual coaches.
