Sure I agree, John wasn't in the correct
frame of mind when he entered into some of the Storms games,
but would you be in top form if you didn't have confidence
in you team, not to mention the defence. Whilst I
realise Finnie believed in himself, it must have been
hard to even want to go out there every night, with a team who lacked
confidence, style and passion. I have full confidence that if
John would have been in a winning side (winning as in each player
did his job, not the ideal winning...top of the league) he would have shone as
brightly as he did in his first year with us.
Team effort is the thing a lot people forget when talking about a goalies
performance, stats may be a helpful guide, but mean nothing hwne
making a judgement on how good a netminder is.
