Are attendances low, compared to last year? Given
the range of competitions it is difficult to tell.
When Dave Bigger wrote to the MEN he suggested (I
think that numbers were up on last year. Well, 'Lies,
damned lies and statistics' but has anyone out there
done any analysis?

I wonder how Ogdens and the other owners feel about
the Express Cup now. I have seen quotes from both
Kurt Kleinendorst and Jim Lynch that were at best
'unenthusiastic' regarding the competion (although the
Ayr coach's comments were before they won their first
five games in it!).

As for Ogden's and their promotional activities, I can
only assume that they have adopted a deliberately
low key (cheap?) approach - one small advert in the
seems to be about it.
Possibly they feel that the coverage provided by
Chris Brierley and Andy Yates and more recently from
GMR is better than anything they could produce
internally.

As one of the converted, I'm sure the STORM and their
support will go from strength to strength. (But not
imediately after Christmas. The scheduling of three home
games in four days (!)is hardly likely to be good
for crowd numbers).
