You have to remember it was an Express Cup game, which despite the results so far Ayr are not taking as seriously as the league. Also it was a game against Manchester at the Nynex and Eagles away game plan is totally different to the home game plan...ie you don't have to entertain on the road.
P.S. - Ayr's crowds are up 8% on last season so there's your 'dour' quote...oot the windae.
