Firstly these are my own personal comments,and I thoroughly expect to get well and truly blasted from some quarters(Any UKH readers will know that's nowt new for me today!!).
Maltais was a complete and utter waste of a shirt.He was a liability.OK,he got amongst the points early on,but ultimately,the guy cost us progression in the EHL and his six match ISL ban co-incided with our really dodgy spell.You may argue,then,that that proves his worth,not a bit of it.His absence merely messed up our line-ups.
Since his return he's been a better team player,but still not the player I was under the impression we were signing(A Claude Lemieux type???You'd need bloody good binoculars to find that in his game!!)
You know what I find really strange about this whole thing?Everyone on the ECHL mailing list seems to really rate the guy-so what did we get-a pod person?A Hampton Roads fan left a message on this forum a few weeks back asking about Dominic,and he admitted he was amazed at the replies he got.
All that said,what a stupid,stupid time for this to happen.It's Byram all over again,isn't it?I want to know what 'mutual' means in this case.
