After over twenty attempts (Mike can probably
tell us the exact number) Storm finally score
after pulling the netminder for the extra forward.
Last night saw Jim Hrivnak pulled out with less than
a minute to go with Storm 2-3 down. The extra attacker
made a difference for the first time with Brad Rubachuk
scoring the equalising goal to send the game into
overtime.
After this success and knowing we really needed to win to
stand any chance of qualifying Jim was again taken off
with 2:07 left in OT. During this time Storm laid siege
to the Cobras net but Wayne Cowley was making some excellent
saves while Cobras were unable to get one decent shot on the
empty net.
