As a Steeler supporter I was understandably annoyed when
the game was pulled with no explanation. I may be paranoid
but the coverage this year has been monpolised by
Ayr and Manachester. The Steelers have only had 2
televised games this season.

So I got on my high horse and phoned Sky. They were very
tight lipped, but basically told me that the ISL had stopped
them showing the game due to 'contractual reasons'. She was not
prepared to elaborate on this. Considering SKy only pay the ISL £30K a year for TV rights
I think this is a cop out. This must have been a last minute
decision as they had been advertising the game on SKY, and apparently the
camera gantry scaffolding was up in Bracknall ready.

I tried to phone the ISL, only to get an answering machine. So it seems strange,
when we ought to be doing everything we can to show Ice Hockey,
that the governing body steps in and stops a game being shown on TV. I donb't think the
Daily Express stopped it, why would they bother sponsering it, and then stop any coverage ??

The final is defintely being shown.
