I've seen that Sheffield have won the award for European Venue of the Year.. god knows how.. You were right to mention the acoustics..its terrible!
I saw The Levellers and The Pogues there a couple of years ago, horrible sound. But Smashing Pumpkins at the Nynex, now that was good sound.
Still not a patch on the Academy though...
