If people get out of the habit of buying one (ie when they get to the game there is none left) then they'll stop being bothered and won't want one. It doesn't cost THAT much to make an extra batch - they can always be sold on at a later date anyway. For most people, a programme is a souvenier of the game and I have got a programme from EVERY game (football, rugby ice hockey whatever) I've EVER been to (where there was one produced obviously) and the most difficult to get hold of are the Storm ones!
