As this is a hot topic at present,I thought I'd float this idea,see if it sinks!!
When a player is suspended for an indescretion that involved an injury to another player,I reckon one or two things should happen
a-The offender is suspended for as long as the other player is out injured
b-If the ban is for a fixed length,then those games should be against the team he offended against.After all,why should Ayr and Cardiff get the benefit?
OK it's not perfect,especially when an incident happens in the final part of the season,as the offender might not come back the following year if any games are 'carried over'.I do believe implementing 'a' might make certain players think before doing something stupid.
