Looks to me as though Maltais has got off lightly considering what a dim view is taken of kicking, provoked or not. Maybe the powers that be decided to only impose a 2 game ban in view of Hunt's actions, which sound like they deserved more punishment than they received.
As for "Mark" applauding what happened in Ayr last night, this is nothing to crow about. I'm all for hard checking so long as it is within the rules, but if a player is injured as a result that is to be regretted, not boasted about. The "Broughton Lane Bullies" tag was used at the start of the season and was dropped by the club. In terms of results it has done Steelers no good at all.
