Under normal circumstances a 2+2 is automatic, however, most referees would argue that they hadn't seen the incident. What started the recent well publicised fracas between Sheffield and Nottingham was Blake Knox cutting Corey Beaulieu's face with his stick. After a number of curious decisions, unbelievably, there was no call. This was the catalyst which made Corey take the matter into his own hands - and we all know what happened after that - 6 game ban !!
We at Sheffield have been complaining of inconsistent refereeing, often involving high sticks, for the last three or four seasons but nothing seems to happen. Certainly it is something which needs to be cut out before someone loses their sight.
